For Lateral Paramedic Firefighters a Firefighter 1 is required or a State Fire Marshal Approved Fire Academy.
Training Requirements
ROA
A Recruitment Orientation Academy (ROA) will be organized for all candidates who successfully secure a position within the department. The MFD Training Cadre comprises seasoned professionals who possess a wealth of experience and expertise in training new recruits. During the academy, recruits will be instructed on a range of essential skills, including hose drags, ladder throws, vehicle extrication, Firefighter survival techniques, and more, enabling them to meet the high standards set by the MFD.
